The Problem

You’re investing in leadership development.
But you can’t prove it’s working.

Organizations spend an average of $1,500 per leader per year on development programs — with no way to measure whether behavior actually changed on the floor.

No visibility into how leaders actually behave

Performance reviews measure outcomes, not behaviors. You’re flying blind on the daily actions — coaching, recognition, communication — that determine whether your teams stay or leave.

Leadership development spend with no return on investment evidence

Your finance team wants proof. Your board wants data. But most leadership programs produce satisfaction surveys, not evidence of behavioral change over time. The Leadership Impact Index gives you before-and-after proof in every cycle.

Burnout spreads quietly — and hits hard

Research from Mayo Clinic shows a direct supervisor’s behavior is the number one driver of team satisfaction — more than salary or culture. By the time turnover spikes, the leadership problem has been building for months.

Organization View

Every leader. Every dimension. One screen.

The Organization Heatmap shows every leader in your organization as a row, with scores across all nine leadership dimensions as color-coded cells. Instantly see who’s thriving, which departments need attention, and where your development programs are moving the needle.

Filter by department, cohort, or group

Slice the heatmap any way you need — Emergency versus ICU, manager level, or custom program cohort.

Scores update automatically after every cycle

No manual uploads. No exporting to spreadsheets. Scores populate the moment the minimum response threshold is reached.

Organization average row for instant benchmarking

A department average row anchors the heatmap — so you can see at a glance which leaders are outperforming and which are falling behind.

Spot struggling leaders before it becomes a crisis

Red and orange cells surface issues in real time — before they become turnover events, complaints, or burnout leave.

Built for organizations where leadership
directly impacts people’s lives

The Leadership Impact Index was developed in healthcare — where leadership directly affects patient outcomes — and validated across corporate and education environments.

Healthcare

In high-stakes clinical environments, a struggling charge nurse or department director doesn’t just affect morale — it affects care quality, patient safety, and staff retention. The Leadership Impact Index was developed and validated in healthcare settings first.

  • Measure leadership quality before and after clinical leadership programs
  • Track burnout risk in high-turnover departments
  • Support Magnet certification and AMA Joy in Medicine initiatives
  • Deploy across hospital systems with multi-site heatmap views
AMA Joy in Medicine compliant · 14+ peer-reviewed studies

Corporate

From mid-market companies to large enterprises, the Leadership Impact Index gives HR and talent development leaders the data they’ve always wanted — a continuous, behavior-level view of every people manager, across every team and region.

  • Link leadership development investment to measurable behavioral change
  • Surface high-potential leaders before they’re at risk of leaving
  • Run at scale — 10 leaders or 1,000, same platform, same insight
  • Integrate with performance management and succession planning cycles
Starting at $100 per leader · Volume pricing available

Education

School principals, department chairs, and district administrators face the same leadership challenges — with less budget and fewer development resources. The Leadership Impact Index delivers clinical-grade insight at a fraction of the cost of traditional tools.

  • Support principal and assistant principal development in school districts
  • Measure the impact of leadership coaching on school culture
  • Give department chairs data they can use in professional growth plans
  • Track leadership health across a multi-school system in one view
Trusted across K–12 school districts and higher education

FAQ

Common questions from HR and talent development leaders

Unlimited. You can run assessments for every leader in your organization simultaneously. Each leader has their own assessment cycle, and results populate independently as their team responses come in.
A minimum of five responses is required before any scores are revealed. This threshold is enforced system-wide and cannot be overridden by administrators — protecting respondent anonymity and improving the honesty and accuracy of feedback.
The Leadership Impact Index averages over 80% response rates — dramatically higher than traditional 360-degree assessments. The primary reason: the assessment takes under 60 seconds to complete. When the ask is small, the response is large.
Yes. You can add up to three custom questions per assessment — open-ended, multiple choice, or yes/no. These appear after the 9 validated questions and don’t affect the validated scoring model.
Enterprise clients can work with our team on HR system integration for leader roster management. For most organizations, a simple spreadsheet import handles leader setup. Single sign-on via your existing identity provider is available on Enterprise plans.
No. The Leadership Impact Index is fully self-administered. Any HR or talent development professional can set up, deploy, and interpret results without certification, outside consultants, or specialized training. This is by design — it’s one of our core differentiators.
